From November 2019 to May 2020, the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at New York University in association with Princton University, showcased an exhibition called “A Wonder to Behold: Craftmanship and the Creation of Babylon’s Ishtar Gate”. This book is the exhibtion catalogue and features one of our images!
On page 52, you can find our reconstruction of the Bit Resh in Uruk, dated to the Seleucid Period. It is part of a chapter written by Anja Fügert and Helen Gries about a brief history of molded and glazed bricks. It is written in English, 186 pages strong and published by the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW).
